Zander Arkin has more than twenty years of experience in the natural gas and power sectors, including roles in project and business development, investment and finance, strategy and management consulting and public policy analysis. His work generally serves small to medium sized businesses in arranging a variety of equity and debt financings; provided detailed planning, budgeting, contract negotiation and general analytic advice to businesses involved in power project development, oil and gas pipeline operations, power generation equipment manufacturing and energy related professional services. For seven years, Mr. Arkin worked for a private equity firm where he was responsible for origination, evaluation, execution and management of private investments in the energy and power industry. Investment activity focused primarily on power generation, utility construction, natural gas storage and agro-industrial assets related to bio-energy. He previously consulted at McKinsey & Company where he served as an engagement manager responsible for corporate strategy and served as a senior expert for the Energy Practice and Corporate Finance Practice. While at McKinsey, Mr. Arkin served on the project team responsible for assessing natural gas infrastructure adequacy during the California energy crisis to advise the Governor on appropriate actions to take to ensure continued natural gas supply. He has researched and analyzed a variety of energy policy issues at the Harvard Electricity Policy Group.
